The ability to create fictional history using one of God’s greatest gifts – the imagination – is an honor and privilege that I don’t take lightly.
For as long as I can remember I’ve always kept journals, wrote phrases and words that inspired me. You’ll never catch me without a pen and pencil. When Holy Spirit speaks to me, its important that I write and listen.
From the time my children were young until teenagers, I would make-up stories to tell them. I believe I enjoyed my imagined tales more than they. I was amazed at what I could come up with. I didn’t recognize at the time, but God had given me this amazing gift of storytelling.
There is an old saying that goes “God won’t put any more on you than you can bear.” That’s because it’s not God who puts bad things on us – it’s “life.” And when life does, there are many legal ways to escape and a good Christian novel is just one way.
Most of us endeavor to be better, to go higher. I trust as you read that you will be inspired to be a better person. If you only make one small adjustment as a result of reading one of my books, than I can truly say “Mission Accomplished.”
